Colonial Quality Perfume Trio in Stand

This is a set of three decorative glass perfume bottles with stoppers.

Each bottle is approximately five inches high.

The bottle in the center has a square base (approximately 1 1/2 "x 1 1/2"), while the other two have one rounded end so they fit into the decorative holder.

The holder is gilded brass, and set with faceted faux jewels of various colors.

The words "Colonial Quality" are stamped on the bottom center of the holder.

Overall, the set measures approximately 5 1/4" W x 1 3/4" D x 5" H.

Colonial Quality Powder Jar

This stunning 1920s jeweled powder jar is a fine example of vintage elegance and quality craftsmanship. The lid is crafted from ornate brass filigree, richly detailed and adorned with bezel-set faux jewels, adding a touch of opulence. The interior of the lid is stamped with the "Colonial Quality" hallmark, confirming its origins and highlighting the attention to detail in its design. The lid's intricate filigree and vibrant jeweled embellishments make it a striking complement to the glass base.

The jar itself, made by Heisey Glass, is etched with an exquisite floral pattern encircling its sides, adding a delicate and timeless charm. The bottom of the jar features a starburst design, with the iconic Heisey hallmark—a diamond enclosing the letter "H"—prominently placed at its center. Known for their high-quality glassware, Heisey's contribution to this piece ensures its durability and brilliance. The glass is heavy, crystal-clear, and impeccably clean, reflecting its excellent condition.

Measuring approximately 4 inches in height and 5 1/2 inches at its widest point, the powder jar strikes a perfect balance between functionality and beauty. The harmonious combination of Colonial Quality's ornate lid and Heisey's masterful glasswork makes this piece a cherished example of early 20th-century decorative artistry. It remains in exceptional condition, making it a standout collectible or an elegant addition to a vanity display.

Colonial Quality Dresser Tray

This antique Art Deco dresser tray showcases a refined combination of craftsmanship and design, emblematic of early 20th-century decorative arts. The tray features a circular glass center, elegantly bordered with intricate filigree metalwork. Adorning the handles and glass jeweled areas, the filigree overlay adds a delicate, ornate texture, highlighting the craftsmanship of the era. The jewels are of green, gold, red, blue, purple, amber glass. Sandwiched between two panes of glass is a handmade lace doily, adding an element of traditional charm to the tray's overall aesthetic. The interplay between the transparent glass and the lace creates a layered visual effect, enhancing its decorative appeal. The tray rests on four ball feet.

Though the metal exhibits a few dark spots, this patina is typical for a piece of this age and serves as a testament to its history. The tray bears the signature "Colonial Quality," a mark associated with Samstag & Hilder Brothers, an importing and notions company that began using the trade name around 1918. These pieces were produced into the 1920s and reflect the same fine quality as works by contemporaries like Apollo and Empire Art.

With a diameter of 9 1/8 inches and an overall length of 11 1/2 inches including the handles, the tray is perfectly sized for a vanity or dresser. The base of the piece is marked with the "Colonial Quality" hallmark, further confirming its origin. The company operated showrooms in major cities such as New York, Chicago, St. Louis, and Boston, with a primary address at Samstag's 1200 Broadway, New York. This piece, with its intricate detailing and historical significance, is an excellent representation of the artistry and quality associated with Colonial Quality items.

As you can see from the photos, different lace doilies could be had.
